The Manor

First of all, make yourself at home. Your time at Foxhill is not like the usual hotel stay; here, everything revolves around you.

Dine when you want, where you want. Be as active or as lazy as you like. Throw a party, ramble around Farncombe Estate, while away a day in the Dormy House spa, sip sunset cocktails on the terrace, hold a movie marathon in the Cinema Room, or cosy up by the Drawing Room fire with a book, a board game and a Burgundy – Foxhill Manor is what you make it.

At the Manor…

  • The Dining Room: Our modern, intimate dining space was once the house library, and now has room for up to 16 diners to enjoy romantic dinners à deux, communal banquets, bountiful breakfasts, laid-back lunches and everything in between. On one side, a roaring log fire; on the other, a full-service bar stocked with fine wines, regional ales and everything the discerning mixologist might desire. And, of course, just because it’s called the Dining Room, it doesn’t mean you have to dine in it…
  • The Drawing Room: The heart of our home isn’t the usual hotel ‘show lounge’; it’s a lounge in a very literal sense. Here, you can relax beside the open fire without worrying about messing up the cushions. Sure, there’s pannelling and the odd oil painting on the walls (and of course, those big mullioned windows looking out over the grounds), but there’s nothing stuffy about the Drawing Room. Come on in, grab a drink, see what treats are waiting for you on the sideboard, and put your feet up.
  • The Screening Room: Not everyone believes us when we tell them that our Cotswolds manor house has a huge cinema room with a 74” TV, a knock-out DVD selection, consoles and games, a load of Fatboy beanbags and walls hand-decorated with comic-book découpage, but then we do like to do things a bit differently…
  • The Ballroom: If you’re staying at Foxhill for a wedding or a private party, chances are you’ll be paying a visit to the Ballroom. Once the Manor’s Billiard Room, now a light, bright and endlessly versatile event space with wooden floors and direct access to the gardens, it’s as suited to big-bash dining as it is to dancing into the small hours…
  • The Host: Part concierge, part butler, part local guide and part miracle-worker, your hosts are on hand 24-hours a day to help make your stay something you’ll talk about for years to come (in the best possible way, of course). Whether you need a full itinerary planned, a phone charger to borrow or just a good chat, they’re here to make sure no whim goes unrealised.
